The cortisone injection last week provided me with about six really solid days of relief. It wasn't complete relief, but it was better. When I took acetaminophen every four hours and ibuprofen every six hours, I could use my arm normally, pretty much. There was still minor pain when lifting things, but it was minor and manageable.
Yesterday morning, I woke up to pain in the arm again, though. And it grew worse throughout the day. Today it's a little worse still. My whole arm is swollen and my hand is painful, too. Let's just say, I do not dig it. At all. And oh my god - the fatigue. I was dreaming that I couldn't stay awake. Even in my sleep, I was too tired to function! My malar rash is rash is flaring, and my cuticles ar
As far as my worms go, I'm just not sure. Maybe the treatment isn't really going to work for me. I mean, I believe in the therapy for a lot of chronic illnesses. But maybe it's not the right thing for MCTD. Or maybe this flare would be worse if I didn't already have them on board. I just don't know. I'm getting another vial soon, and I'll definitely re-dose. Even if they're not helping, they're also not hurting, so it's worth a try.
